Stick a fork in me...

I'm DONE!

Whoa. Holy long week. Oh wait, it is not over just yet. BUT I am back home, in my bed, and am happy to say that I don't think I will see a hotel for a while; nor pack a serious suitcase until vaca in Miami in a month! Insert happy dance.

I don't want to see you for a while.
After another night of about five hours of sleep, I battled with snooze and only managed to get in a 2.5 mile run before work. While it was great that I was staying close to where the event was today, I still had to be there by 7:30 so it wasn't like I had a leisurely morning by any means.

Today was a pretty easy day. The stage was set yesterday for the conference and things went off without a hitch from start to finish today. Perhaps the best part was the "working lunch" portion. Look at this beauty:

Greens, kabocha, brussel sprouts, portabello mushroom, sweet potato and shrimp. Amazeballs.
The people I met, amazing. I made some great contacts and can't wait to see them again. The individuals that were in the room were so full of years of experience and wisdom, not to mention the stories; I am sad to see this end. On the other hand, I am SO happy it is over! We wrapped early afternoon, and I grabbed my luggage and actually got home around 4 today. And promptly took a 2 hour nap. If you know me, you know that is a miracle in itself. I am the worst sleeper and the only other times I can usually nap are after super long runs; so a true testament to my level of exhaustion.

Woke up and rushed to get my butt to the gym. I have been doing two a days all week for the most part but doing "shorter" runs nothing long since the 10 miles on Sunday so wanted to get a longish one in tonight. I can be so tired yet the second I begin running, throw in the ear buds and take off, I am on a roll. I kept the pace about 30 or so over goal until the last couple miles and it is funny how running at what was my goal pace in spring is now so damn easy for me and feels like I am jogging. Taking a true rest day tomorrow (from running I plan on lifting in the morning!) since I am racing on Saturday, final long run on Sunday and then taper next week for the half.

My favorite dessert: chobani, ff cottage cheese, almond breeze, chocolate casein and stevia. Freeze for 25 minutes and perfection!
I have had the weirdest appetite, and just ate a cucumber/tomato/balsamic salad for "dinner" so loaded up on calories for "dessert" yet still in about a 500 calorie deficite for the day. Oh well. My macros are pretty on for the day 43/34/23. It's hard when you burn so many (close to 1000 today) to make up for them. I ate almost 2000 today and just cannot manage any more it's late. It's okay. I am not going to burn much tomorrow lifting so it will balance out as it always does. Not looking to starve myself by any means! I eat a ton, just a ton of good for you stuff. Clean eating is the name of the game. I have learned you can work out all you want but if you are not on point with eating you will not get results. Hence how since June I have dropped a good amount already and put on muscle. Lean and mean all the way! Abs will come!

Now time to get more than 5 hours of sleep. The weekend is in sight!
